Just before Covid-19 hit, Sweetwater High School Counselor, Lysabeth Luansing-Garcia, was recognized by the San Diego County Office of Education.

It was such a surprise! The principal had called her into the office, very serious, saying there was a parent that wanted to meet with her regarding an issue that needed to be addressed immediately. When her office door opened, she was greeted with students and staff, district leadership, and county of education representatives with SURPRISE! She was shocked and overwhemlingly honored to have all these people in one room for her.
